A transition short story: “At night, the flowers go to sleep but the sun doesn’t want to because he wants to play with the stars! The stars and the sun are playing football! So, a big white moon appears in the sky and pushes the sun down. Go to sleep! - the moon says - No! First, tell me a story, please! - says the sun - So, the sun puts on the pajama, goes to bed and the moon tells him a great story. The sun finally falls asleep.”

A story (developed by myself) for a TPR activity:
The story :
You are an astronaut and you want to travel to the space.
You have a spaceship, you get into the spaceship and….  5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and…..Take off! (bend, stand slowly and fly around the classroom)
You arrive on the moon and you walk on the moon like an astronaut…. (walk as if you are floating in the space with long steps)
Oh! You can float! It’s difficult! Come on! Walk like an astronaut!
Then you travel to the sun and you touch it. Oh! It’s very hot! (rise a hand, simulate touching and shake hands to show something is hot. Do facial expressions as well)
At night the stars appear, you lie on the floor and count the stars: 1, 2, 3, 4….. (lie on the floor, count and point to the ceiling)
The following day, you paint the rainbow in the sky. It’s a big rainbow!
You get brushes and paint from one end to the other.
First red, now orange, then yellow, now green, next light blue,
now blue and finally purple. (go from one side of the classroom to the other, moving the arm from the floor to the ceiling and to the floor again. Repeat the movements for each colour)
Then, you see the clouds and you jump on the clouds! You jump and jump!... (jump all around the classroom)
But, be careful! Oh no! A lightning!! You fall off from the space!! (stop moving, shake the body and lie down on the floor slowly and shouting)
            The end

Description of Activities chosen:

- Welcome routine: greeting, Welcome song with audio (learners sitting on the floor in a circle singing and gesturing the song).
- Good bye routine: learners sitting on the floor in a circle singing (without audio) and gesturing the song.
- Storytelling: performed by the teacher, with visual support (images) and funny voices.
- Repetition drill
- Short oral questions
- Role play: children role play the story with puppets while teacher narrates.
- Retelling the story, eliciting vocabulary and expressions.

- Vocabulary presentation/review with visual support (flashcards) and students repetition.
- Telling a short funny story connected with the main story from lesson 1 to present expanding vocabulary. 
- Vocabulary practicing through a game using flashcards:
Teacher displays the flashcard on the board one next to the other (cloud, moon, rainbow, sun, stars, lightning). Then, she asks children if they remember the Happy birthday song and says: “Ok, we are going to play a game with the Happy birthday” “Listen and repeat”. The teacher starts naming the flashcards using the Happy birthday rhythm. “Now, you sing too, come on!” (do it twice). When finishing, she takes out one flashcard from the blackboard. everybody sings the chant again and where the flashcards is missing, they say “mmm”. The game continues until there is not any flashcard on the blackboard, so all the class will be singing mmm mmm mmm with the happy birthday rhythm.
- Understanding differences between day and night and the element in the sky: sticking images on the correct poster.
- Finding and Pointing what the teacher asks and repeating activity.
- Surprising presentation: doing magic to preset a big dice!
- A dice game activity: 
I will invite children to sit in a circle and play the dice game: I will invite children to sit in a circle and play the dice game. I will explain the game as I model the activity. I will say: "You have to throw the dice like this (I will do it), and you have to say the name of the picture (cloud). But, if you get a balloon (showing the side with the balloon) everybody must stand up and clap the hands 3 times, like this (I will model the action)". "You will take turns, ok? First (Giuliana), next (Arturo), etc."
- Pre-watching activity: introducing the video orally by asking about students' favourite element of the sky.
- Enjoying a song/ video clip "The sun, moon and stars".
- Singing, miming the actions of the video clip.
- Repeating the chorus of the song after the teacher (using a marker pretending to be microphone).
- Phisycal game: TPR Plus activity: students perform the actions from a fantastic story told by the teacher (pretending to be astronauts).
- Creating a story: students draw the story listened or create a new story by drawing on little books provided by the teacher.
- Students tell the story to their partners.
